With financial support from Associazione Giuliano De Marchi per il Nepal of Italy and coordination from mountain guide, Tenji Sherpa of Mahakulung-4, Hill Development and Conservation Group Nepal has been providing scholarships to 30 students consisting of:
- 15 students studying up to class 12 in Gudel Secondary School, Mahakulung Rural Municipality-4
- 15 students studying up to class 12 in Chheskam Secondary School, Mahakulung Rural Municipality-3
Targeting the students forced to leave schools due to low income, these scholarships have been provided under the Scholarship in Mahakulung program’s 3rd year activity. This program which started on 2022/23 will continue up to 2026/27.
Every student selected for the scholarship will be provided the school dress (shirt, pant, sweater, tracksuit, shoes), bag (once every year) and stationery items (pen and copies once every month). They will also be provided with the overall tuition fee.
